Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-30

This policy explains what personal data Bullet Time Scene ("we", "us") collects, why, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. Bullet Time Scene is run by an independent operator. Contact: support@bullettimescene.com.

What we collect

  • Account details. When you sign in with Google: your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID.
  • Your photos and videos. The photos you upload, the frame you choose, your settings (mode, style, aspect ratio, quality) and the videos we make from them.
  • Purchases. Which credit pack you bought, the amount, the time and the order number. Payment details such as card numbers are entered at our payment provider's checkout; we never see or store them.
  • Credits and activity. Your credit balance and history, and a record of each video: when it was made, its mode, style and quality, the credits charged and how it ended.
  • Technical data. Your IP address and browser details, recorded when you sign up and with each sign-in session; the country you signed up from and the site or campaign that first brought you here; a random browser identifier we store in a cookie; and basic request logs. We use them to run the service, keep anonymous uploads private to your browser, and prevent abuse.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics collects pseudonymous usage data, such as pages viewed and the site that referred you.
  • Messages. What you write when you email us.

How we use your data

  • To make your videos and show them to you. We use your photos only to make your videos, and we never use them to train AI models.
  • To run credits, purchases, refunds and the free preview, including limiting free previews to one per person and preventing abuse (the free-preview records hold the random browser identifier and a keyed hash of your network, not your IP address).
  • To send the emails the service needs: "your free preview is ready", and, if checkout was ever paused, a one-time notice when it opens. We don't send marketing emails.
  • To answer support requests and complaints, enforce our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy, and keep the service secure.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it.

We process your data to provide the service you asked for, to meet legal obligations (such as accounting records), and for our legitimate interests in preventing abuse and improving the service.

AI processing by a third party

To make a video, we send your photo (cropped to your frame) and the instructions for your chosen mode and style to a third-party AI video provider, Kie.ai, which runs the model and returns the video. The models are ByteDance's Seedance video models: Seedance 2.0 Mini for Lite videos, Seedance 2.0 Fast for Standard and Seedance 2.5 for Pro (see Pricing). We send only what is needed to make that video. The provider handles the data under its own terms and policies.

Who else receives data

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't share it for advertising.

  • Kie.ai (AI video provider): your photo and the generation instructions, as described above.
  • Waffo Pancake (payments): the merchant of record for all purchases. It runs the checkout, sends your receipt and invoices, and hosts the customer portal you reach from Billing in the account menu. It receives what you enter at checkout and the order details from us.
  • Cloudflare: hosts the website, stores photos and videos, and sends our emails.
  • Google: sign-in, and Google Analytics.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

Cookies and similar storage

We don't show a cookie banner, and we don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We use:

  • a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in;
  • a browser identifier cookie (up to 400 days) for anonymous uploads, upload limits and free-preview limits;
  • cookies that remember which site or campaign first brought you here (30 days);
  • Google Analytics cookies;
  • your browser's local storage, for preferences such as your last mode and aspect ratio.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; signing in needs the sign-in cookie.

How long we keep it

  • Photos uploaded but not used for a video (including uploads made without an account): deleted after 24 hours.
  • The photo a video was made from: kept as long as that video.
  • Free previews that haven't been unlocked: the video and its photo are deleted 7 days after the video is ready. If checkout is paused, this becomes 7 days after it opens again.
  • Paid videos, including unlocked previews: kept until you delete them or your account.
  • Failed videos: shown for 7 days, then deleted together with the photo.
  • Videos blocked by a safety filter: you can delete the card at any time; the photo is kept for 30 days so we can review it, then deleted.
  • After a photo or video is deleted: no image or video remains. We keep only a text record (time, mode, style, credits, status) for accounting and complaints.
  • Purchase records: kept as long as accounting and tax rules require.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from the account menu (Delete account). If a video is still rendering, you can delete once it finishes. When you delete your account:

  • your photos and videos are deleted right away, except photos of blocked videos, which are kept for review for up to 30 days and then deleted;
  • your sign-in is removed and your profile (name, email, picture) is erased;
  • any remaining credits are lost; unused purchases from the last 14 days can be refunded before you delete (see the Refund Policy);
  • text records of orders, credits and videos are kept as described above;
  • we keep a keyed, one-way hash of your email address and of your Google account ID, together with whether the account was suspended or on hold. We never keep the address itself, and the hash can't be turned back into it. It lets us recognize the same person signing up again, so that a new account doesn't get a second free preview and a suspension or hold isn't lifted by deleting the account.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict some processing, and to know what we collect and why. We don't sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, and we treat everyone equally whether or not they use these rights. To make a request, email support@bullettimescene.com from your account's email address; we reply within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Photos and videos are stored privately and shown only through short-lived links to the account (or, for anonymous uploads, the browser) they belong to. Connections to the site are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

Children

The service is not meant for anyone under 18, and photos of anyone under 18 must never be uploaded.

International processing

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced on the site before they take effect.

Third-party software

The site's pages load one open-source component under a copyleft license. It converts a HEIC photo (the iPhone's format) before upload, runs entirely in your browser, and is downloaded as a separate JavaScript file only when you pick a HEIC photo that your browser can't open by itself. That file is the component's own published build, unmodified and not combined with our code:

The site's fonts, Inter and Archivo, are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
